Hi there. Recently, the Minoh city sent a letter titled 給付金のお知らせ 
(meaning they will transfer 5,000 yen to your bank account by late 
February) to all residents living in the city on January 1st, 2026, in  
Minoh city. If you received the letter, it's alright. If you didn't, the 
Minoh city will send a letter titled 支給要件確認書 (meaning requesting you 
to send the documents showing your bank account name and number and a 
photocopy of your identification, like my number card, passport, and so 
on to the Minoh city) to the residents who do not receive the letter 
titled 給付金のお知らせ by the end of February. Only the Minoh citizens are 
eligible for this allowance. The JET members living outside of Minoh 
will have some benefits, because each local government is allocated 
money used for each resident to compensate for the soaring prices in 
Japan from the central government. But the way to allocate allowance to 
residents is different from each other. The Minoh city chose to transfer 
5,000 yen to its residents. If you have any inquiries, please get in
