Hi All,

Autumn is in full swing —
have you had a chance to enjoy the autumn leaves yet?

This season is full of exciting events, and today I’d like to share some queer film festival news with you!

1) Queer Vision 2025
A collaboration between Professor Yuka Kanno  (Doshisha University) and Normal Screen — this annual one-day queer film screening event is back!
This year’s program features:

-A documentary capturing the struggles and lives of lesbian mothers who fought for child custody in the 1970s and beyond

-A poetic collage of voices from gay artists living with or affected by HIV

-A short film by Julie Dash depicting the life of a Black woman working in 1940s Hollywood

Most films are being shown in Japan for the first time, but since you have seen them back in the US/NZ/CA/SC/IR.
Don't miss for an afternoon of powerful queer cinema!

Sunday, November 16, 2:00 PM

Join as a Volunteer!
By the way, Kansai Queer Film Festival is currently looking for on-the-day staff members! It’s fun to attend as a participant, but volunteering is a great way to meet new people and become part of the community.

Volunteer Orientation:
Saturday, November 15, 1:30–4:30 PM (Toyonaka)
Advance registration required.
For details or to sign up, please contact: info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I’ll be attending on Saturday, December 6 at the Toyonaka Step venue — hope to see you there!
If you have any question, please let me know~:)
