I hope this email finds you well.

Responding to the report regarding the stranger happened at JETs' 
apartment, once again MAFGA would like to share the points to avoid 
suspicious visitors.

1. Do not respond visitors without appointments.
If it is delivery, they will leave an undeliver note.
You may request the re-delivery.

2. Use the intercom before you open the door.
If you cannot confirm the person's purpose of visit, do not unlock the door.

3. Even if you need to talk to them directly, use the door chain and 
don't let them in the room.
You may use the phrase お引き取りください(ohikitori kudasai; please leave me 
alone)

4. (Optional) You can remove your name tag on the mailbox/room door.
The landlord puts the name tag for the ease of mail delivery, but if you 
are more comfortable not having it, you can put it down by yourself.
You can go ahead and throw it away if it is not necessary.

We also found the flyer made by National Consumer Affairs Center of 
Japan, which exactly matches this situation.
I attached to this email, but if you need the printed version, we have 
it at JET House.
Please come and take it on Wednesday/Friday 5-7pm.
