This correspondence is issued by MAFGA JET-Support Team periodically to
update on the JET program and the community information in Minoh City.  Your

1.     Prepare for Natural Disaster

As the recent Turkey-Syria earthquake is widely reported by mass media, you
never know how big and disastrous natural disasters can be. Only way to
lessen the damage is to better prepare for them. MAFGA recently made video
clips for disaster prevention, which explains about emergency supplies and
how to react in disaster situation. As they were explained in
easy-to-understand Japanese, it is also good for learning Japanese terms of

2．Filing Tax Return on Medical Expense

If your medical expense total in the last year exceeds 100,000 yen, You may
prepare receipts for the medical expense payments and file a “statement of
medical expenses deductions” which may give you a tax return. The deadline
for the tax return filing is March 15. For details of the procedure, see the

3．MAFGA Stationing Calendar

During the spring break, MAFGA Consultation Hours by stationing at JET House
will change to daytime (2-4pm) on Wednesday, March 29 and Friday, March 31.
