MINOH JET-ALT UPDATES (Jan. 1, 2023)



This correspondence is issued by MAFGA JET-Support Team periodically to
update on the JET program and the community information in Minoh City.  Your
comment on this e-mail magazine is always welcome.



1. Attention! Irregular Garbage Pickup Schedule

During the year-end/new-year holiday period, most municipal service offices
are closed. City offices and libraries will be closed between Dec. 29 and
Jan. 3. So the garbage pickup schedule will be different during the period.
While the JET House and Driver Horse apartments areas are scheduled to
collect burnable garbage on Tuesdays and Fridays, there will be no
collection on Tue., Jan. 3 and Fri., Jan. 6. Instead, there will be burnable
garbage pickup on Thu., Jan. 5.  Collection schedule of other garbage in
January will also be different.  Check with the garbage collection calendar
attached.



2. Doctors at Clinic Off for New Year

Just like most of commercial services, medical doctors and clinics will be
off during the year-end/new year holidays.  As the length of office closing
is different by individual clinics/institutions, please check the business
schedule of your regular clinic before visiting. And the last resort of any
troubles as usual is ER of Minoh City Hospital which is available around the
clock during the holidays.



3. Download the Navigation App. for Life in Minoh

For quick access to municipal service information, a web site for navigation
of the services in Minoh is now available at the Minoh KURASHI NAVI（箕面く
らしナビ）site.  　　　　

It can be downloaded on your smart phone and you can access handy
information such as the next garbage collection days, application of
administrative document, disaster relief plans, and so on. To download and

4. Just in Case of a Lost/Theft Report

If you lose your wallet which includes your ID and a commuting pass during
your holiday outing, you may file a police report at a KOBAN police box.  If
you need to apply for reissuance of your residence card, your need to get an
official police document at a main police office in the same area of KOBAN
where you filed a police report.  It is easier to file a report first at a
KOBAN in Minoh and then to get the official police document later at the
main office of Minoh Police Station.



5. MAFGA Stationing Calendar

MAFGA is closed between Dec. 29 and Jan. 3 for the year end/new year
holidays. See the attached stationing calendars. MAFGA’s hotline
