To all cat lovers (like me!),Do you know that there is a shelter cat organization in Kyoto(and in Tokyo) called JCN? A friend of mine who has been a long term volunteer of this organization asked me if I know someone interested in volunteering.
https://www.japancatnetwork.org/Being foster parents for shelter cats may be difficult, but they are also looking for volunteers to take care of cats once a week at their shelter.
Attention!!There is also an initiative like a cat cafe where you can meet cats in a MACHIYA for 2,000 yen a weekend! For more information, please check their web site...I strongly recommend you to follow their Instagram...their cats are so adorable....
The representative and many volunteers of this organization are English speakers, so you can feel comfortable volunteering without any language barriers.
